Attorney Raoaa King brings a powerful combination of legal experience, cultural perspective, and personal resilience to the courtroom. Born in Baghdad, Iraq, she immigrated to the United States in 2004 with her family following the 2003 Iraq War—a life-changing journey that shaped her deep appreciation for justice and advocacy.
She graduated from Franklin High School in 2011, earned her B.A. in Business from Baylor University in 2015, and received her J.D. from the University of North Dakota School of Law in 2019. She became licensed in New Mexico in 2020 and in Texas in 2021.
Her legal journey began at the Texas Attorney General’s Office – Child Support Division, and soon transitioned to private practice in El Paso, where she handled wrongful death and personal injury cases. She later joined the El Paso County District Attorney’s Office, first in felony court and eventually in the Homicide Unit and Special Traffic Investigations.
During her tenure as a prosecutor, Raoaa managed serious cases including capital murder and intoxication manslaughter, notably trying State of Texas v. Joseph Alvarez, where the defendant received life in prison for the murder of a former Assistant Attorney General.
Now, as the founder of The King Law Firm PLLC, she dedicates her practice to Criminal Defense, Family Law, Employment Law, and Personal Injury, advocating fiercely for her clients and their rights.
Raoaa is fluent in Arabic—she reads, writes, and speaks the language—making her uniquely equipped to serve Arabic-speaking clients in West Texas and Southern New Mexico.
